Art in the Park will be held on August 1and 2, 2008 in Washington Square Ottawa Illinois from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m..This is a fine art show. To enter send 3 photos, a CD or your website showing your current work. Artwork shall be evaluated on the criteria of originality, design and skill. Entrants of the 2007 show do not need to send slides or photos.

Entries must be postmarked by June 21,2008. Participation is determined by a juried selection, based on slides or photos submitted by the artist. Notification of acceptance will be mailed by July 1,2008. Entrants must have a copy of an Illinois Business Tax number with them to give to the City of Ottawa.

Fees for a 10x10 space are $75.00 plus $10 non-refundable jury fee.

Ottawa Art League Members          $40.00                  No Jury fee.

All sales will be conducted between the artist and the purchaser.  Artists are responsible for any and all taxes.  All work must be the artist's original work and presented in a finished manner.  No mass produced, commercial kit, patterns, stencils, or prefabricated forms created by other persons may be sold.  Reproductions may be sold, but must be indentified.  Artists must be present for the entire show and remain set up until the close of each day.  The Ottawa Art League reserves the right to refuse showing of work not consistent with submitted applications.  If work does not comply with the rules, the artist will be asked to remove those items.  Driving in the park is NOT permitted.

Set up time is from 6a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday August 1. Overnight security on Friday will allow display tents to be left in place. However, remove your merchandise. Neither the Art League, its members nor the City of Ottawa are responsible for accidental loss or damage of any kind.  Unloading may take place on the streets surrounding Washington Square.
